Luther and Bobbi Jo were married on a chilly December day at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Valley City, ND. But neither the cold, nor the challenges of the pandemic could stop the excitement of this beautiful wedding.
I had the personal privilege of seeing this relationship unfold when their story started at Bible College. It was clear to see that these two were meant for each other. It was not an easy journey for this couple. COVID forced these two into a long-distance relationship on top of planning a wedding. As a 2020 bride myself, I sympathize with the stress these two went through leading up to their big day. Through it all, these two focused on the joy at hand, that on December 12, no matter what, they would marry their best friend and start the rest of their life. Luther reminisced how excited they were to watch the days slip by as the countdown lowered, bit by bit. He laughed as he remembered the excitement of finally getting to the single digits! The time seemed agonizingly slow.
This couple’s joy and excitement were contagious on that beautiful day. Families gathered, eager to help with the big day, and all faces were glowing with smiles. Bobbi Jo was the picture of calm and peace, even on her wedding day!
In my opinion, these moments are when all the emotions of the wedding day "get real." The room clears out, it's quiet, and it's just the bride and her dress; preparing for the moment when she will see her husband. I treasure these moments I get to capture for my brides.

These two were focused and excited, waiting for the time they would see each other. Bobbi Jo and Luther wrote special letters to each other prior to their first look. I love the special touches throughout the wedding day, ensuring that the couple can relax and focus on each other.
I absolutely love this picture. I see the calm strength and resolute of this couple, moments before they set eyes on each other on their wedding day. Amidst all the craziness of this year, this couple leans into each other, blissfully awaiting their wedding.

I LOVED working with this bridal party!! They were so much fun to work with, and so supportive of Bobbi Jo and Luther.
This was one of the most special times of the day. Friends and family gathered around Bobbi Jo and Luther praying over their marriage. The support of these families was so impactful.
Finally, Finally, it was time to GET MARRIED!!!
It was a beautiful, worshipful ceremony of close family and friends with a small reception to follow. So much love, laughter, and joy all day long. My heart was full.
